Campbell S Gray

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Campbell S. Gray, of Worcester, MA, who although lived a long life, for us, has transitioned far too soon on February 22, 2024, at the age of 89. He was born on January 13, 1935, to the late Selville Arthur Leopold Gray & Alice Maud Henry in Duncans, Trelawny, Jamaica West Indies. Campbell’s presence was a beacon of strength and spunk, bringing joy and courage to those he encountered. He was a kind, caring, very generous, stern but loving, proud, and devoted dad, brother, uncle, and granddad. Campbell had a zest for life and made lifelong friends with ease. As the Patriarch of his family, he will be dearly missed. We find solace in knowing that he is at peace in the arms of the Lord, no longer bound to the physical pain of his earthly body. Campbell spent many years of his life in Duncans, Trelawny and Kingston, Jamaica until he emigrated to Worcester, MA in the seventies. He was married to the late Kathleen (Totlin) Gray. Campbell’s diligent spirit was unmatched, but his passion for family is truly what defined who he was. His straightforward demeanor was admirable. He will be fondly remembered for his extraordinary sense of humor, even in the face of some of life's most significant obstacles. It is a legacy of love and cherished memories he leaves to his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Campbell is lovingly remembered by his eight children and stepdaughter, Courtney (Tony), Marcia, Coretta (Celia), Belinda (Teri), Angella, Rushelle, Orville, Dorcell Gray and Minnell Soltau. Campbell is also survived by his cherished grandchildren, Christopher, Chevaughn, Anthony, Tevin, Aaliyah, Gianna, Nick, Shania, Jessica, Courtney Jr, Jo-Anna, James-Lee, Corey, Chloe. In addition, Campbell leaves his four siblings: George, Winston, Millicent, Patsy, as well as his many nieces, nephews and cousins whom he loved dearly: Barbara, Omar, Keisha, O’Neal, Sean, George Jr, Derrick, Tracey, Audrey, Tania, Andrea, Tyrone, Micheal, Adrian, Everton, Nadine, Antia, TInesha, Clive, Gary, Judy, Richard and Martin. Campbell is also survived by his great grandchildren. Campbell will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched. May he rest in eternal peace. May Campbell’s memory live on in the hearts of those who loved him, and may his vibrant spirit continue to inspire us all.
