Today we are gathered not in sadness but in unity to remember and reflect on the life of Richard Kenyatta Harvey. Creation entry date March 6th, 1973. Exit date April 9th, 2025. He was a person who touched so many of us with his love, humor, kindness, knowledge, perseverance, and determination. He lived a life full of triumphs. He was a creative soul, and because of that, his accomplishments reflect the many ways he expressed himself. He not only excelled as a student-athlete and played basketball but also as an entrepreneur and founded “About My Bidniz Entertainment.” In his time, he toured the country, touching the hearts and minds of many by sharing his thoughts on life and world events in many forms, including through music. Though his time with us has ended. The memories and love we shared will live on Forever. All of us experienced Yadda at different stages of this fulfilling life. And in turn, each knew a different version of him. We all have a specific encounter or moment with him that stays with us when we hear his name. These memories are the building blocks of his legacy. They tell the story of who he was. To some, he was a father; to others, a husband, son, brother, cousin, uncle, and partner in crime, but to all of us, he was a cherished loved one. He always wanted to know his family and openly expressed his love for those closest to him. He also expressed his love for the lord. His intense curiosity lead him to seek out God and a he made a profound decision to Follow Jesus Christ. He is welcomed to his eternal home by his mother Barbra and Father Richard, Grandmother Flossie “Nana”, brother Tony, sister Juliette, niece Jasmine, Uncles Eric “Butchie”, Dennis, Ronnie, Cousin’s Carl, Little Ronnie as well as other; all who now know no pain or brokenness in their bodies. His family banner is carried on by his wife, Tennella Harvey, Son’s Devin– Anthony and Cameron, daughter PVT. Aanjolie,. Brother Julan and his clan. Uncle Jerry and his clan. Aunt Flippi and her Dixon clan. As well as a host of cherished cousins, friends, and family. Lastly Richard’s fondness to express himself allowed him to show the world who he was. His style and charisma helped make his dreams his reality, and he has left an incredible mark on all his Family and Friends from coast to coast, From Massachusetts to California. We see all sides and shades of the one we love. We all thank him for being a warrior in times of trial and tribulation. A friend in times of need. A voice of reason in times of confusion. An example in times of reflection and a blessing in his time with us. We Love You Richard…
