Etta Mae Arnold Taylor of Mt. Gilead North Carolina and Boston Massachusetts was one of three children, born April 2nd 1931 to the late Henry Arnold and Minnie Leak. Devoted Brother Henry, Sister (Friend) Waetina, preceded her in death. She married John F Taylor and they had four children. John also preceded her in death. On June 29th, 2020 Etta was called to rest by her savior. She always said she would pass at home and she did. She went peacefully in her favorite chair curled in a sleep position. She will be missed immensely.
Etta was a retired Head Start teacher in Orchard Park (Gardens), Roxbury. She positively impacted many lives and was highly respected by the community due to her dedication and devotion. She was also an activity coordinator for a senior nursing facility and a tutor of children for the Generations Program. In short, she highly educated herself in human services for Children and the Elderly.
Etta's past time was centered on her family, her house plants, her card games and her Scrabble. These are the fondest memories we have of her.
Etta is survived by four children, Kindreth (Richard), John (Martha), Stephen (Brigitte), and Jerry (Burlinda); four Grandchildren (MyShawn, Justin, Tameika, John III) and seven Great Grandchildren, not to mention Loving nieces, cousins and close friends.
