Born on July 3, 1958, in Philadelphia, PA, Judith Ann Lee, 65, of Worcester, MA peacefully transitioned from labor to reward on Tuesday, April 30, 2024. At a young age, Judy was baptized at the Holy Temple Church in Philadelphia, where she was active in Youth Ministries, the Youth Choir, Usher Board and Sunday School. Educated in the Philadelphia Public Schools, she spent most of her life in Philadelphia until she moved to New England to be close to her beloved uncles, William "Danny" and Euguene "Chucky" Ware. Upon relocating to New England, she settled in Worcester, MA where she bonded with a group of friends who became like family. The Lee family owes a special debt of gratitude to Sheldon "Rocky" Ashmore, Stephany Schultz, Nicole Smith, and the Southern Middlesex Opportunity Council (SMOC) family for all their love and support. Judy was most recently employed as a laborer with SMOC until her health began to fail. The oldest daughter of the late Jackie Ann Lee Onwu and the late Richard McKnight, Judy is survived by her siblings, Michelle Lee Edwards (Rev. Thomas), Jeanette Lee, and Joy Lee all of Philadelphia; Rev. Dr. Ricky A. Lee (Rev. Dr. Pamela) of Virginia Beach, VA; Samuel Onwu, Jr. of Dover, DE; and her adopted brother, Sheldon "Rocky" Ashmore; one nephew, Michael; aunts, Priscilla Anderson of Salisbury, MD, and Rosie Jabbar of Philadelphia; uncles, Samuel "Butch" McKnight of Philadelphia, William "Danny" Ware (Sharon) of Woburn, Massachusetts, James B. "Jimmy" Ware, Jr. of Beaufort, South Carolina, and Eugene "Chucky" Ware of Arlington, Massachusetts; and a host of cousins and friends.
