Margaret Irene Reid, 86, of Worcester, Ma, passed away on July 6, 2022, at 11:30 pm. She was surrounded by her children and grandchildren. Our mother struggled with many health issues, but she never gave up; they counted her out many times, but she knew their decision meant nothing because she had a God that loved her.
Margaret was born to Page and Alice Mccain. She was born and raised in Brown Summit, North Carolina. Margaret was raised by both parents, who are both deceased. She had five siblings, Robert, Paul, Louise, Laurel, and Francies, all of North Carolina; all siblings are preceded in death. Margaret was the last of her siblings. She missed her two brothers every year, and she would go and visit them in July for their family reunion in North Carolina. It was hard for her when they passed away. She took it hard because they died six months after one another; Uncle Robert passed and Uncle Paul struggled with Cancer and did not tell anyone, he passed away six months later.
Margaret worked hard to take care of her children; one of the places she was employed at Cone Mills in North Carolina. She also worked at Spring Valley Nursing Home as a CNA worked there for many years. Until she moved to Worcester, MA, to be with her best girlfriend, Isabella Harden. They were friends for over 50 years, partner's in crimes like Thelma and Louise man; they Wore the pants in their relationships, I mean, in all their relationships. Fifty years of friendship today, you can no longer find friends like that. It was a God-sent friendship. Our mother loved sports basketball was her number one sport. She loved helping other people. She had a heart of gold no matter what her kids did; mommy was always, therefore, us no matter what we did because she is a nurturing, supportive, and loving mother and grandmother. She raised her children, my children, and everybody else children. Some she never knew she had because papa was a rolling stone. Seriously, our mother will be truly missed by everyone but don't have sympathy for her or us; this is a celebration of life so live and be happy. This is what our mother would want everyone to do. If you cannot do it for yourself, please do it for our Queen Margaret Irene Reid want to thank you for coming to her celebration of life.
